In my garden is a small steel plate sculpture which I try to protect from erosion by polishing it regularly.
Noticing the water drops on the polished sculpture after the storm, the truth struck home:
Nothing can last for ever
.
Today's cloudburst dissolved yesterday's rust.
Blue skies reflected beautifully
and joyously the here and now.
Time takes it's toll
but also holds
 a promise.
Being is a page
that aches for a word which speaks
on a theme that is timeless
while the sun god will make for your day.

Seeing is a song
in search of a voice that is silent
and the one god will make for your way.

Studio Activities
With my studio door wide open and relaxing on my settee, I was reading The Tao of Watercolor   - a beautiful book on watercolor painting technique - when the phone rang. I put the book down, rushed to the study, answered the phone and somehow forgot to close the door. When I returned the wind was paging through my book whilst the sun was kissing the pages. I quickly fetched my camera, set the shutter's speed at 1/4 and joined in the fun. I took about 50 pictures!  I chose this particular picture because of the double layered meaning it has. Wind usually plays in the trees and sometimes love speed reading!
